A restaurant had 3 pies, each cut into eighths. By noon,3/4 of all the pieces were sold. How many pieces were sold by noon?

Step-by-step explanation: My answer is 18 pieces because I made 3/4 into 6/8 by finding the common denominator, subtracting the pieces of the pie from the pieces sold and got the answer of 18. (I mean that's what I got but some times I'm wrong so yeah or, you could take this operation but you could do it a bit more differently in your case.)
