the Great depression had an impact on most things in society, many people were out of a job leading to a huge employee shortage, businesses couldn't afford employees and many shut down, schools could not get enough funding to run properly, supply chains broke and there was very little food to go around, even to the point where people were eating pies filled with water just to get by, our military was weakened due to the widespread food shortage, and almost anything from clothes to kids toys had to be made from scraps as most goods were too expensive.
