Explanation:

the y-intercept is the y value when x = 0.

the x-intercept is the x value when y = 0.

for x = 0

y = 0 / (0² - 1) = 0/-1 = 0

this automatically answers also our question about the x value when y = 0. we found this out already with the y-intercept.

the interception point with both coordinate axis is (0, 0).
