Gerrymandering is when in politics, someone or a group of people do something to manipulate votes in a way that either benefits their group or devastates the opposing person or group. Gerrymandering is a big issue because it can impact huge societal concerns, such as who gets elected into office or who has more voice than others. It tampers with the pure results so that a particular group can easily slip things to their benefit. This also is a problem because of how controversial the topic of politics is by itself; people will go as far as waging war against an individual for their actions.
