I don't have a lot of info to go off of to properly solve the question, however I think I may be able to help. If you are trying to solve using the Quadratic Formula:

_______________________________________________________

Solve the rational equation by combining expressions and isolating the variable c.

c=\sqrt{(1+s)(1-s)

c=-√((1+s)(1-s))

If this is not what you are looking for, please comment below on what you really need and I'll see what else I can do to help. Thanks!
