An example of humans modifying the environment would be deforestation. In deforestation, humans modify the environment by cutting down or seizing trees and natural biotic/abiotic factors that supply our needs. The effects of such actions not only include the loss of resources, but also the loss of a home for wildlife and air pollution. By modifying the environment through the concept of possibilism, humans damage the wellbeing of themselves, their society, and the other biotic factors that might thrive off of what’s in the environment that’s now going to ruins.
