Answer:

y=-4x-1

Explanation:

x-4y=24

-x -x

-4y=-x+24

Divide -4

y=-1/-4x-6

Simplify the slope.

y=1/4x-6

Perpendicular slope

m = 1/4

m = -4

The point is (-2,7)

-2 is the x intercept

7 is the y intercept

Slope Point Form is y-y1=m(x-x1)

Plug it in

y-7=-4(x+2)

Solve and put it into slope intercept form

y-7=-4x-8

+7 +7

y=-4x-1

There's your answer.

Hope that helps.
