Yes. The bold yellow and black checkerboard colors in the upper left and lower right are 1/2 of the Maryland flag. The other half looks like a truncated St. Louis Cross (upper right lower left).

That flag is represented in the first row going across and the first column on the right hand side. There is a whole right up about this flag when you search it out that has to do with the first governor of Maryland (I think).

It's very interesting to read.
