(When dealing with negative numbers and ordering them, the highest number is the least and the smallest number is the greatest because it is closer to zero) Like -6 would be less than -3 because -6 is farther away from zero. Those lines around the -5 means absolute value. No matter what the answer is going to be positive. Unless you have a negative sign OUTSIDE the absolute value symbol.
