If you were walking down the street and saw someone trying to destroy a bike lock, what would you do? Why? Have you ever witnessed someone stealing a bike before or know of someone who had their bike stolen? Explain. Why do people steal bikes so often? Why did the reactions change depending on the gender or race of the person trying to steal it? Is this an example of racism in society? What would the reactions have been like if it was a black woman trying to steal the bike? Would the thief's gender matter in your decision over whether you would speak up or not? What would be the safest way to deal with this situation?

Answer:

I would mind my business, because it has nothing to do with me.I have never witnessed someone stealing a bike or have known someone who had their bike stolen.I guess people steal bikes so often so they can sell it and make profit off of it.The reactions would change depedning on the race or gender because most people are bias.It is a example of racism in society. If a black women was trying to steal it,the cops might have been called. The thief's gender would not matter in my decision over weather I would speak up or not because you never know what a person is capable of.In my opinion if you felt like you needed to tell someone you could, but if you felt lke the situation would turn into something much bigger you could just leave it alone.
