As everybody knows that mass is constant, so it will remain the same, on earth as well as moon, even on the sun.

But in the case of weight, it will be changing with the change of gravity and mass, as known from the equation below:

W=mg.

On the earth, the weight of the body having a mass of 20kg will be:

W=mg …….1

(m=2kg, g=9.8m/s) put in the above equation

W=2×9.8=19.6N

Now to find the weight on the moon again use eq 1

W=mg

(m=2kg, g on moon=1.6m/s)

W=2×1.6

W=3.2N

So the weight of the body on the moon will be 3.2N
