a gradient of -4/5 and which passes through (4,-2)

The gradient is -4/5, so the equation is of the form


y=-(4)/(5)x+c

Substituting in the coordinates (4, -2),


-2=-(4)/(5)(4)+c \\ \\ c=(6)/(5) \\ \\ \therefore y=-(4)/(5)x+(6)/(5)
