Parallel to the line:

{\sf{2y = x + 1}}

{\sf{y = (x)/(2) + (1)/(2 )}}

Hence Slope:

{\sf{\large{(1)/(2)}}}

The slope of line of which equation we need is parallel to the line given. Therefore, it's slope also is (m):

{\sf{\large{(1)/(2)}}}

Also, the line passes through the points (4, 1)

Therefore by the formula of

{\sf{(y - y1) = m(x - x1)}}

we have:

{\sf{(y - 1) = (1)/(2) (x - 4) }}

{\sf{2y - 2 = x - 4}}

{\sf{x - 4 - 2y + 2 = 0}}

{\sf{\red{\boxed{\sf{x - 2y - 2 = 0}}}}}
