Ok , so she drove 700 miles to see how many gallons of gas she used you would have to divide 700 into 35 miles giving you so gallon,

but you want to know the cost so you take the 20 gallons of gas and you multiply it but the cost of one gallon giving you 65 dollars.

and to check you take the 65 dollars and divide it into 3.25 and should get 20 gallons
