Answer:

x = 6

Explanation:

4x + 8 = 6x - 4

12 = 2x

x = 6

4(6) + 8 = 6(6) - 4

24 + 8 = 36 - 4

32 = 32

so x = 6 works and is a valid solution since it checks out when plugging into equation to check
