explanation: any number with a negative sign which is ( - ) is smaller than 0

and a number without a sign next to it is positive

a number line can show you both negative and positive to draw it

for example

-5 -4 -3 -2 -1 0 1 2 3 4 5

you can see we start from the left with the negative numbers

if you add a positive and a negative sign to get the answer is the biggest number ik negative is always the smallest listen look at it like there is no signs and you see which one is the biggest then take that one

ex.

4+(-5)= -1
