The Early Indo-Aryans were a Tardy Bronze Age civilisation centered in Punjab that was organized into tribes rather than kingdoms and primarily fortified by a pastoral lifestyle. The Aryan culture migrated eastward to the lush western Ganges Plain from 1200–1000 BCE.
