Answer:

380160 people

Explanation:

Given

the length of the road=3.5 mile =3 × 5280 ft

( 1 mile = 5280 ft). = 15840 ft

the width of the road= 60 ft

now calculate the area of the road

the area of the road= length × width

= 15840×60

==950400 square ft

each person needs 2.5 square ft of space

=> 2.5 square ft is needed by 1 person

=>1 square ft is needed by 1/2.5 person

=> 950400 square ft is needed by (1/2.5)(950400)

==380160

so,

total people= 950400/2.5

==380160
