Answer:

Story below

Step-by-step explanation:

The little boy put down his booklet and looked at his dog. When he had first gotten the creature, it seemed to growl at everyone and used caution around people. The boy was sure to eschew using a firm voice or making any loud noises around the dog, the boy was also weary of others but having the dog in his life caused him to sweeten up. The boy earned the dogs trust and one day, the dog approached and the boy was able to smoothly pet on the dogs head and back. The dog was so happy with the affection that he rolled over on his stomach to get scratches on his stomach. The boy was so distracted with loving on the dog that he didn't realize that there was a big black spider approaching. All of a sudden, the dog jumped up and started barking. The boy thought that the dog had just became frightened of him again and with a heavy heart, tried to reach back out to the dog. The dog backed away and began barking louder. The dog seemed to be trying to alert the boy of something so he turned around and saw the big black spider crawling quickly towards them. He picked up a booklet from a stool and smacked the spider just in time before it got on the dogs paw. The dog began to lick the boy in the face as a thank you. From that point on, they were the best of friends and knew that they had each other. Being wayward, the boy would hitch rides on the back of a railway cart and work for money as a loader, putting various things on the other train carts. When they would find a town they wanted to stay in, he could usually find work as a sower, planting seeds for farmers so that they could deal with less tedious work. The dog and the boy were able to come and go as they pleased, moving from town to town, always together.
