William decides to kill his 91-year-old mother Geraldine in order to inherit her money and property. William puts rat poison in her afternoon tea. Geraldine dies quickly. A few days later, William learns that his mother’s will leaves him only $1,000. His brother Walter inherits millions. William has committed capital murder because:

the answer would be B.. Regardless of the persons age it would still be considered murder, so A is out of the question. C would be correct also but B makes more sense because C would be implying that because he used rat poison it’s murder, meaning the poison was the determining factor; it doesn’t matter that it was a member of the family. even if it wasn’t it would still be constituted as murder
