Multiply Equation 2 with 2 on both sides: 2xy = -32

Find value of(Equation 3) :

Put the value of equation 1 and equation 2 in equation 3

i.e.
(x-y)^2 = (x^(2) + y^(2)) + (2xy)


(x-y)^2 = (86) + (-32)
