Question 1, X= 1/5+11y/10, Y=-2/11+10x/11

Question2, X=13/5+4y/5, Y=-13/4+5x/4

It’s hard to write fractions on here so a / is a fraction bar not divided by.

Answer:

(x, y) = (9, 8)

Explanation:

You can eliminate the x-variable by subtracting twice the second equation from the first.

(10x -11y) -2(5x -4y) = (2) -2(13)

-3y = -24 . . . . . . collect terms

y = 8 . . . . . . . . divide by -3

5x -4(8) = 13 . . . substitute for y in the second equation

5x = 45 . . . . . . . add 32

x = 9 . . . . . . . . .divide by 5

The solution is x = 9, y = 8.
