Explanation:

In functions for horizontal shifts left or right we look at 'h' in the absolute value function formula: f(x) = a |x-h| +k, the h is opposite of what we think in functions here. an h value of 4 would indicate 4 to the left, -4 would indicate 4 to the right. Since we move 4 to the left we have '+4' and add that to the -3 in the function, giving us a h value of -1, so the new function would be g(x) = |x+1| + 2
