Answer:

D

Explanation:

Remember the domain is the input ( what you plug in ) and the range is the corresponding output ( what you get from plugging in the domain )

Knowing this we simply plug in each of the given domain values into the given equation to find the range.

Given equation f(x) = 3x + 5

Domain ( -2 , -1 , 0 , 1 , 2 )

Plug in each into x

x = -2

f(-2) = 3(-2) + 5

==> multiply 3 and -2

f(-2) = -6 + 5

==> add -6 and 5

f(-2) = -1

f(-1) = 3(-1) + 5

f(-1) = -3 + 5

f(-1) = 2

f(0) = 3(0) + 5

f(0) = 0 + 5

f(0) = 5

f(1) = 3(1) + 5

f(1) = 3 + 5

f(1) = 8

f(2) = 3(2) + 5

f(2) = 6 + 5

f(2) = 11

The range for the given domain values is {-1,2,5,8,11}

So the answer is D
