Explain how a drastic increase in temperature would affect the function of enzymes. Would it

Answer: It would damage the effectiveness of the enzyme.

The rate of an enzyme-catalysed reaction increases as the temperature increases, however at really high temperatures the rate of reaction will decrease since enzymes denature(lose their shape) and function.
