Y-(5-(y-x)) x = 4 y = 6

I need the steps please, this is a little bit confusing..

substitute x = 4 , y = 6 into the expression

y - (5 - (x - y))

= 6 - (5 - (6 - 4))

= 6 - (5 - 2))

= 6 - 3

= 3
