A bag contains 4 red marbles, 6 green marbles, and 8 yellow marbles. Find each probability for randomly removing marbles with replacement.

Answer: 8/729

Explanation:

There are 18 marbles in total.

  • Probability of green: 6/18 = 1/3
  • Probability of yellow: 8/18 = 4/9
  • Probability of red: 4/18 = 2/9

Multiplying, we get
(1/3)(4/9)(2/9)(1/3)=8/729
