Using x^2 + (a+b)x + ab,

can you please explain how 6p^2 - p -1 simplified is equal to (3p+1)(2p-1)

Explanation:

6p^2-p-1 = (3p+1)(2p-1) because

(3p+1)(2p-1) = 3p(2p-1) + 1*(2p-1)

=6p^2-3p+2p-1 = 6p^2-p-1
