Function 1 (the table) has a slope of -2.

This can be calculated using the slope formula,
m = (y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1). Using (-1,3) and (-2,5):


m = (5-3)/(-2-(-1)) = (2)/(-1) = -2

Function 2 (the graph) has a slope of about 3.5.

It's hard to know for sure with the blurry picture. If you go from (-1,0) to the y-intercept at about (0,3.5), that gives you a rise of 3.5 and a run of 1, so a slope of 3.5.

3.5 is a greater rate of change than -2.
