Rapid changes in temperatures and increasing levels of flooding or drought can contribute to reduced agricultural yields in small islands, reducing their limited capacity for local food production. Rising sea levels result in salt water encroachment, threatening coastal farmland and fresh water supply.

someone had asked this question before and it had been answered by a person and this was the answer “Agriculture needs a suitable climate. Because of climate changes the cultivated land which is severely effected. Most of the cultivation depends on soil, climate and irrigation conditions. Although there are suitable conditions for cultivation in mountainous regions, islands ; climate will that suitable condition. In mountainous region , heavy rainfall is flowed oftenly. so that cultivation will damage due to heavy flow of water. Island regions face floods, ... etc. By this we can conclude that climate change is a serious threat for that regions.”
