The domain is the set of x-values.

We see this ranges from -5 to -3, exclusive (because of the open circles), and from 0 to 2, inclusive at 0 but exclusive at 2 (because of the closed circle at 0 and the open circle at 2).

So, the domain is


(-5,-3) \cup [0,2)

Using similar logic, the range is the set of y-values, so in interval notation, it is (-2,4].
