Answers:
Distances
AB = 2.8 L
BC = 1.4 W
CD = 2.8 L
AD = 1.4 W
Perimeter = 8.4 units
Area = 3.92 units
Step by step
The distance of the sides are found using the equation d = √(x2−x1)^2 + (y2−y1)^2
Point A to B = length
Point B to C = width
Solve for length (A & B)
d = √ (2-0)^2 + (4-2)^2
d = √ (4 + 4)
d = √8
d = 2.8 (length)
Solve for width (B & C)
d = √(3-2)^2 + (3-4)^2
d = √ 1 + 1
d = √2
d = 1.4 (width)
Perimeter = 2L + 2W
Perimeter = 2(2.8) + 2(1.4)
Perimeter = 8.4
Area = L x W
Area = 2.8 x 1.4
Area = 3.92
