angle p and angle q are supplementary angles (their sum is 180°). If angle p is four times greater than angle q, find the size of each angle.​

Let q be x

and p be 4x

Given:

  • p + q = 180°

  • x + 4x = 180°

  • 5x = 180°.

  • x = 180° /5

  • x = 36

P = 36°

q = 36 × 4

=144°
