4b + 3 = 27
First you must isolate the unknown “b” by dividing both sides of the equation by 4 which leaves us with:
b + 3/4 = 27/4
Next subtract 3/4 from both sides of the equation: 27-3=24
b = 24/4
Now solve for your final answer: 4*6=24
b = 6
