Which French pronoun would you use to replace the underlined subjects?
Everyone is helping to plan a surprise party for Guillaume.
1. Valérie and Amélie are blowing up balloons.
These to subject are both feminine so ==> elles
Tout le monde participe à l'organisation d'une fête surprise pour Guillaume.
Elles (Valérie et Anne) gonflent des ballons.
If the to subjects were masculine (Tom et Paul ) ==> Ils
if the to subjects were one feminine + one masculine = Ils as well
But if one subject was feminine , plus the other one masculine, it would be "Ils". The French rule in gramar says "masculine takes over feminine...
