3x - 4 = 5x - 10 \\ collect \: liketerms \\ 3x - 5x = - 10 - 4 \\ - 2x = - 14 \\ you \: divide \: both \: sides \: by \: 2 \\ (2x)/(2) = ( - 14)/(2) \\ x = - 7

add negative ten to 4 , then subtract 3x from 5x. You’ll get 14=2x divide two on both sides. X= 7
