X = 3

Basically you have to remove the coefficient that multiplys it so you only have a variable, you can do this by dividing it by 8. Then reduce the fraction to lowest terms by dividing it by 8 again.

Hope this helps!

Answer:

hello. x =3

Explanation:

- 8x = - 24 \\ ( - 8x)/( - 1) = ( - 24)/( - 1) \\ 8x = 24 \\ (8x)/(8) = (24)/(8) \\ x = 3
