The length of a rectangle is three times it’s width, if the perimeter of the rectangle is 64ft what is the area

Answer:

A = 192 ft2

Explanation:


p=2l+2w


l=3w


p=2(3w)+2w=6w+2w=8w


64=8w


w=64/8 =8ft

The area:


A=lw


l=3w=3(8)=24ft


A=(24)(8)=192sqft
