What I do to overcome sadness is I write everything down on a paper, like why im feeling sad whats the cause and stuff and then i keep that page in a box with me which i gave it the name of "My Box Of Escape" OR if you're good at showing your emotions you can discuss this with you mother or an elder sibling if you feel comfortable, i usually discuss some things with my elder sister. For overcoming anxiety, I always close my eyes and then inhale, exhale, that should work as well, I get severe anxiety from Hospitals and I've been there multiple times so.. I hope this helps :)
