Answer is v = -2

First we handle the numbers in the parenthesis as that’s first order of operation.
Multiply 3 x numbers in ( )

-7v + 3v -15 = -7

Now add 15 to both sides to isolate “v”

-7v + 3v -15 +15 = -7 + 15

Combine like terms

-4v = 8

Divide both sides by -4 to solve for “v”

-4/-4 v = 8/-4

v = -2

You can check your work by substituting (-2) for “v” in your equation.

(-7)(-2) + 3(-2-5) = -7
14 + (-21) = -7
-7 = -7

Problem solved!

I took the massive v fart ever. It was so bad it could possibility become an equation. The equation it’s turning I to is -7v+3(v-5)=-7.
