Explanation:

Since the equations will have a different slope, there must lie only one solution so the 1st two options are wrong.

Let solve using substitution

d = e + 4

e + 4 + e= 2

2e + 4 = 2

e = - 1

Plug this back in for one of the equations,

d - e = 4

d - ( - 1) = 4

d + 1 = 4

d = 3

So the solution is (3,-1).
