Answer: The SDGs, a commonly used acronym for The Sustainable Development Goals, are 17 goals established by the United Nations in 2015, and are set to be fully achieved by 2030. These goals underline the current issues and obstacles that are required to be solved globally, in order to maintain peace and prosperity amongst people worldwide.

A carbon footprint is related to the SDG goals, as it is a measure of the total greenhouse gases that we, as individuals, emit through our actions and consumption. One of the SDG goals include climate action, and to fulfil this goal, we would need to reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible—due to carbon emissions playing a significant role in global warming and damaging various environments today.
