2. Work done by a force on a moving object is 100J. It was travelling at a speed of 2m/s. Find the new speed of

the object if the mass of the object is 2kg.

Ek2 → final kinetic energy

Ek1 → initial kinetic energy

Ek1 = 1/2 mu² = 1/2 ( 2 × 2²)

= 4 J

so ,. Ek2 - 4J = 100

Ek2 = 104J

1/2 mv² = 104

1/2 (2×v²) = 104

V = √104 m/s

V = 10.198 m/s
