Create a system of equations
36S = 60A
S = A + 6
Substitute
36(a + 6) = 60a
36a + 216 = 60a
216 = 24a
a = 9
Ann worked 9 days, Sue worked 15 days
Check
36(15) = 60(9)
540 = 540
