Gran positive have thick layer of peptidoglycan and thin layer of lipopolysaccharide. While gram negative bacteria have thick layer of lipopolysaccharide and thin layer of peptidoglycan. Due to presence of thick lipopolysaccharide layer gram negative bacteria is more resistant to antibiotics.
