he gets 1.5 times for overtime hours than what he normally gets for working hours.

normally he makes $15 per hour.

for overtime he makes 15×1.5 = $22.50 per hour.

Raul worked in that week 40 regular hours per $15, and he worked 15 overtime hours per $22.50.

so, his total earnings that week were

40×15 + 15×22.5 = 600 + 337.5 = $937.50
