Plug 0 in as x in the equation;

y = 2(0)^2 - 1

y = -1

B. f(8)

Plug 8 in as x in the equation;

y = 2(8)^2 - 1

y = 2 * 64 - 1

y = 128 - 1

y = 127

C. f(-3)

y = 2(-3)^2 - 1

y = 2 * 9 - 1

y = 18 - 1

y = 17

D) x = -2, f(-2)

y = 2(-2)^2 - 1

y = 2 * 4 - 1

y = 8 - 1

y = 7

BTW -

you could've used the chart on the left.

The chart states the x values and gives you some y values,

and the y values are the answers to the function.

Lets say for x = -3, x(-3), on the chart it says y = 17, like in my answer.
