Raymundo's rose bush was 8 inches tall when he bought it. It grows at a rate of 1.4 inches per month. The last time Raymundo measured the bush it was 2.3 feet tall. How many months had the plant been growing?

Answer:

14

Explanation:

2.3 feet = 2.3(12)= 27.6 inches

This means it had to grow 27.6 - 8 = 19.6 inches.

19.6/1.4 = 14 months
