100=2(2x-8)+2(x+4)


100=4x-16+2x+8


100+16-8=6x


108=6x


x=108/6=18

The XY side and its WZ partner side measure


2x-8=2(18)-8=36-8=28

The XW side and its partner YZ measure


x+4=18+4=22

check the perimeter


p=2(28) +2 (22)=56+44=100
