here are the steps i'd take. if anything's unclear let me know and i can further explain them!

5 - (4/3)x = 2

let's move all numbers and all variables to different sides. remember that we have to change their signs when we move them over.

5 - 2 = (4/3)x

3 = (4/3)x

now we'll divide both sides by (4/3). so, it'll become multiplying it by 3/4.

3 x 3/4 = x

9/4 = x

hope i helped! good luck.

5-(4)/(3)x=2 \\ \\ -(4)/(3)x=-3 \\ \\ \boxed{x=2.25}
